SystemBus ArchitectureA bus architecture was chosen using the Controlled Area Network communication bus. This would allow the system components to be distributed, isolated from one another, and easily recofigurable and expandable.
For example, a camera module could easy be added on by just plugging it into the bus and not affecting the other components. Another example could be replacing the brushed Motor Controller board with one developed to utilize brushless motors, etc...
